Alfred K. Dassler

Alfred Dassler is a registered U.S. patent agent in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has worked at Lerner Greenberg Stemer LLP since 2001. Al specializes in the preparation and prosecution of patents. His areas of expertise are in metal forming, tool and die design, and thermoplastic molding. He is fluent in German. Al has a wide range of patent prosecution experience, including patent applications in the areas of printing equipment, material handling equipment, nuclear power, automobile components, medical devices, marine equipment, sporting equipment, tools, consumer goods, machine tooling, pharmaceutical packaging, railway equipment, pharmaceutical labeling, and household appliances. Al also has a strong track record in taking over patent applications for clients that were unsuccessful with prior representation.

Mr. Dassler was born in Barrington, Illinois. In 1991 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH. After receiving his degree, Al spent six years as a product and tooling design engineer in the metal forming industry. As a design engineer Al worked on consumer packaging such as beverage and other food containers. Subsequently, Al was employed for three years as a production engineer in the metal forming industry, where he was responsible for improving production, efficiency, and quality at manufacturing facilities in Kentucky, California, and England.

In addition, he served as a senior project manager for three years in the field of thermoplastic injection molding, receiving professional accolades for innovative products produced by the projects he managed.
